Massotherapy Arts Center
When you walk into our facility, which has been in business for fifteen years, you have just left all of your problems outside of our door. You are greeted by our receptionist and offered ice water or herbal tea, while you wait.
| |
If you have to wait more than five minutes for your appointment, $5.00 is deducted from your bill-unless you are late. We are handicap accessible. Massages are scheduled by appointment only. Gift certificates are available.
| All of our therapists are very friendly and cheerful. One half of our seven therapists are also nurses.
They take you back to your room, which has soft lighting, flannel sheets and a water bag on the table, plus a rice bag for added comfort. |
|
You get to choose what fragrance or essential oil that you would like, and also your preference of music.
Our therapists encourage you to deep breathe and focus on something pleasant.
You can talk or lay quietly while your therapist works on you, although we do encourage quiet as you
will receive more benefit from your massage.
You will NEVER be exposed-we work, for example, on one arm and then cover it up before going to the next arm, etc.
If you are having a one hour massage, that is what you will get- not a forty or fifty minute massage as some facilities include getting on and off of the table as part of your massage.
When you are finished, you are advised to rise slowly and sit on the edge of the table for thirty to sixty seconds, just in case you experience dizziness, which is normal. Water is important to drink when you are finished to flush out toxins.
Also no heavy lifting is advised, as you may strain muscle and/or undo everything that your therapist has just released.
We can also do massages on groups of five people at a time- wedding parties, bowling parties, office parties, etc.
|
Your therapist at the Massotherapy Arts Center is licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio. They are always taking extra classes to keep themselves updated on new techniques.
When you go to a new therapist, you should find out if she is licensed and what type of massage therapy that she does. Just like there are many types of doctors, so there are many types of massage therapists. Some types of massage work have no pain associated with them, where others are very painful.
We do receive doctor referrals at our office.
For example, if you were in an auto accident and sustained whip lash, or have chronic back pain, sciatic problem, carpal tunnel syndrome,
or sore muscles from doing yard work. If your doctor writes a note to us requesting massage therapy for you, and indicatess your diagnosis,
and how often you are to come in, you will not have to pay tax on that service.
| When you are finished with your relaxation massage, we know that we have done a good job if your hair looks like
you have been hanging onto a flag pole during a hurricane.
Upon closing, don't forget how important touch is- Vitamin T. Touch is the first sensation we experience and the last we register when all other perceptions are long gone. Do you have a special person in your life that you would like to do something for? If so, please give us a call at 440-322-7032.
LOVING IS GIVING
BUT LOVE IS ALSO RECEIVING,
IT'S GOOD TO GIVE,
BUT IF YOU CONTINUE TO LIVE ONLY GIVING
IT'S NOT TWO WAY,
AND YOU'VE MISSED THE MEANING.
